Always a fine dining experience. Love thier food and cadilac Margaritas!

Stopped while traveling through IA. This place is perfect if you haven't eaten in days or you want to feed 3 people with one entree. In other words, the portions are huge!We left stuffed with plenty of leftovers for days.Our server was great.

Really good food. Especially loved their deep fried ice cream, though I think it was a little too sweet with chocolate sauce on top. Otherwise really good and fast service!

Had the buffet here while I was passing through town. It just wasn't my favorite. The food was fine, it just didn't stand out to me.

The food was really good. It has a nice atmospheric feeling. Music was a little loud. We will be going back. The salsa was a little hot. Need to have some that is milder.

The service is not very friendly at least when I was there. The food did come out really quick and the food was pretty good. I had an impressive looking whole tilapia. The inside decor is nice and it's a good space for groups of 8-10ppl.

Yummy food! Lots of options. Stuff that I don't see in other Mexican American restaurant menu. Comparable prices in general. Big portions. Good specials pricing. Super friendly server even close to closing. Love the look of the place, really nice. Clean, well kept, including the bathroom. Also I appreciate that it's a locally owned place. I definitely want to go again.

Went to Waterloo for a weekend getaway, stopped here for lunch with my husband. The service was really good, staff is very friendly. I ordered the Chapala Burrito with shredded beef and my husband had the Chile Colorado (both pictured). Both dishes were so amazing. Wonderful flavors and so filling. Great deals on lunch specials. If we are in the area again we will definitely be returning!

I will happily visit this location ANYDAY over the Cedar Falls location. One of the best mexi-restaurants this side of Waterloo!

Second visit to Chapala, both visits were similar. Service was good, all of our meals were good, servings are large, good value, chips and salsa delivered to table as soon as we sat down. All food was served hot and fresh to the table. Only hit, such as it is, the margaritas are sweeter than we like.

Good place to try Mexican food, buffet has decent options. Mild to very spicy available at request. Good for any size group.

Great food and service everytime we go!

The food was great but the service was incredibly slow and our bill was not correct when we finally received it. At some point there was burnt food that was smoking in the kitchen; the smell and the smoke hanging in the air was a major detractor.

Reminds me of Mom's cooking. Very authentic and reasonable prices! Love it!
